Get Rid of Cellulite

Generally seen in the lower half of the body, i.e. legs and buttocks, cellulite is the condition where the skin appears to have that orange peel affect in certain areas. Most women carry excess fats in thighs and buttocks, but cellulite is not confined to the overweight as it is in actuality, the lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese that forms beneath the skin.

A number of fats collect in the lower areas of skin and push against the connective tissue forcing the skin to pucker or have a dimpled look which is called cellulite. Health experts have been trying to discover the cause of cellulite for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.

Two components of skin wrinkles that decrease with age are elastin and collagen, both of which may be responsible for the increase of cellulite as women age. Whilst many would disagree, cellulites are often referred to a hormone imbalance problem as men almost never suffer with this condition.

The presence of cellulite is not always prominent, unless one tries to pinch the upper skin of one’s thigh; should it feel lumpy then you most certainly have it but a woman should not feel bad about having cellulite, since most women have the this condition. Many factors make up the build-up of cellulites which range from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type, skin thickness all have a part to play in its formation.

Currently there isn’t one single treatment that can rid a person of cellulites because the cause has remained elusive despite considerable research into the area. One method that hides the cellulite quite well by puffing the skin is deep massage and an increasing number of clinics are now offering this therapy.

Liposuction has now started to be used to try and remove cellulite and even injecting drugs directly into the cellulite sacks directly. Only temporary relief can be gained from both these procedures and liposuction despite its success at removing deep fat from large areas of the body, is not designed for the fats close to the surface as in the case of cellulite.

Unfortunately at the moment the isn’t a magic formula for cellulite removal and it may be some time before it is found although some companies claim that cellulite removal cream is effective but this seems to be better at hiding the effects. The most successful regimes so far are to adopt regular exercise, a good nutritious low-fat diet plan and reduce extra weight where possible.

Many of the toxins that aid cellulite formation in the cells can be removed by drinking plenty of water every day not to mention the other health benefits of drinking water which include weight reduction.
